Latentshoot works inside the assistant you already use

Paste the client’s requests into whichever assistant you use and it writes the shot list. Ask how long the day comes to and it reads the number off your own running order. Setting it up is one web address.

There is no key to copy and nothing to install. It is included on every plan.

Where it works

Start with whichever you have open

Claude

Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector

Paste the address, approve what it asks for, and your shoots are there. It is the quickest of them, and it works in the Claude apps and on the web.

ChatGPT

Settings, then Apps, then Advanced, where developer mode is turned on

Adding your own connector needs a paid plan, and on a personal one it can currently read a shoot but not change it. So it will tell you how the day looks, and you still write the shot list in Latentshoot.

Raycast

The Install MCP Server command

Choose the HTTP transport and paste the address. Raycast handles the sign-in itself, and nothing is installed on the machine.

Google Chrome

Nothing to add

Some browsers now let a page hand its tools to the assistant built into them. Where that works, an open Latentshoot tab is already connected.

The same address works in anything else that speaks the protocol, including assistants that do not exist yet. Moving to a different one later does not mean setting this up again.

Setting it up

Three steps, and the middle one is a paste

  1. Make an account

Free covers one active shoot for as long as you want it.

  2. Add the address in your assistant

Open wherever your assistant keeps its connectors — the list above says where — and paste in https://latentshoot.com/mcp. There is nothing else to fill in.

  3. Approve it in Latentshoot

The assistant sends you here to sign in and approve it, so you decide whether to trust it while looking at your own account. Reading your shoots and changing them are approved separately.

Assistants rename this box every few months. If the words on your screen do not match the ones above, look for connectors, apps, plugins or MCP. It is the same box, and the address is the only thing to put in it.

A connection belongs to the whole team. Everybody can see it exists and who approved it, and anybody who can edit can end it under Account. Ending one takes effect on the assistant’s next request. What an assistant may and may not do, in full.

In the browser

The browser one asks nothing of you

Browsers are starting to build an assistant in. The newest of them let a page hand over its own tools, instead of leaving that assistant to guess at the buttons. Latentshoot does that on every screen of the app. So where a browser supports it there is no connector to add — the assistant works on the shoot you are looking at, signed in as you already are.

The answers are the same either way. A tool called from a browser runs the same code the connector runs, on the same shoot. The running order an assistant reads in a tab is the one the Schedule screen draws.

What to ask

Good first questions

“Turn this brief into a shot list.” Paste the client’s email and name the shoot. What comes back is groups in shooting order, set-ups under them, and a duration on every one, with the must-haves marked.

“How long does this day come to?” The running order reads back as a column of times, with the company moves put in where the location changes. It is the fastest way to find out a plan is ninety minutes over before anybody has booked a model.

“What did yesterday actually take?” Planned against actual, per group, from what on-set mode recorded — which is also where your next shoot’s estimates come from.

There is more than this, and the connector page lists all of it. Everything an assistant can do.

Where it stops

What it cannot do

It cannot delete anything. There is no tool for removing a shot, a shoot, a day or a person. An assistant adds work and revises it; taking work away is done in Latentshoot, where you can see what else points at the thing you are about to lose.

It cannot make up a time. Latentshoot works the day out from the shot list and the unit call, and an assistant reads the answer back. Ask the same question in the app and in a chat window and you get the same number, because both answers came from the same place. How the schedule works.

Google’s Gemini app cannot connect one yet

Google arranges Gemini’s connectors with the companies behind them, so there is nothing for you to paste in. Gemini inside Chrome is the browser case above.

Not an assistant

Lightroom Classic publishes into a gallery

Latentshoot installs into Lightroom Classic as a publish service, so a collection set becomes a gallery and each published collection inside it becomes a set. Your client’s selects appear in the Comments panel for each photograph in the Library. How the Lightroom Classic plugin works, or download it.

Common questions

Do I need to know what MCP stands for?
No. It is the plumbing that lets an assistant talk to a product, and your whole part in it is pasting one address. There is no key to keep safe.
Which assistant should I use?
Whichever you already pay for. The one difference worth knowing is that on a personal ChatGPT plan your connector can read a shoot but not change it, so if you want the shot list written for you, Claude or Raycast is the better bet.
Can an assistant see shoots I have not asked it about?
Yes. A connection is approved for the whole team, so an assistant can list every shoot on it. It cannot reach anything the person who approved it could not reach, and ending the connection under Account stops it on the next request.
Does this cost extra?
No. It is included on every plan, and your plan limits work the same way here as they do in the app. A change Latentshoot would refuse on screen is refused here too, and says why.
What if my assistant is not one of these?
If it speaks the Model Context Protocol, the same address works. If it does not, there is nothing to add yet, and Latentshoot itself is the way in.

Try it on a brief you already have

Make an account, add the address to whichever assistant is open, and paste in the last email a client sent you. Free covers one active shoot for as long as you want it.

Claude, ChatGPT, Raycast, Google Chrome and Google Gemini are trade marks of their respective owners. Latentshoot is not affiliated with any of them, and naming them here means only that a connection made in them works.
