How Latentshoot compares

Two comparisons: the production office photographers get pointed towards, and the spreadsheet the list lives in today. Each says plainly what the other does better, and what Latentshoot computes rather than leaving you to keep it in step.

Against StudioBinder

A production office built around a screenplay, against a planner built for the shoot day. What its own pages say it does, what Latentshoot computes instead, and who genuinely needs which.

Against a spreadsheet

The one that costs nothing and is already open. It holds the list; the four jobs after the list — the running order, the light, the call sheet and the reshuffle on set — are the comparison.

The rules these are written under

Every claim about another product is taken from that product’s own public pages and linked from the sentence making it, with the date those pages were read. Nothing comes from a review site or a directory, and no prices for other products are quoted here — a price belongs on the page of the company charging it.

Nothing on this site reports a review score, a customer count or a testimonial. Latentshoot is new and has none of them, and a comparison page carrying invented proof is the fastest way to lose a reader who builds their living on judgement.

Where a comparison would be a bad-faith one it is not written. A photographer shooting a few times a year should keep their spreadsheet, and a production working from a screenplay should use a production office — both of those sentences are on the pages above rather than in a note at the bottom.

No card. One active project on the free plan, for as long as you like — it is not a trial.
